On August 10th Westbrook Country Club successfully held its 7th annual Rally for the Cure event in support of the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund.
“I’m honored to co-partner once again with the Pat Kracker organization,” says Patina Nabors, Operations Coordinator at Westbrook. “Mentoring women with breast cancer and supporting them through their emotional journey is something I am passionate about.”
The Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund was established in memory of Pat Kracker, a Richland County resident who lost her battle with breast cancer on her 61st birthday. The Fund provides financial support to Richland County residents who have been stricken with breast cancer. Patina Nabors is a breast cancer survivor.
“We are so appreciative of Westbrook’s continued support for our cause,” says Rhonda Breit, Co-Chairperson of the Fund.
Chairperson Dave Kracker and Breit were able to address attending donors, sponsors, and participants regarding the funds recent activities and direction.
A Rally for the Cure flag to show encouragement was signed by all participants and presented to a current breast cancer patient in attendance.
“It was an amazing privilege to be part of an event attended by a patient who was being celebrated and smiling, and to know that we took part in that,” said Breit.
